When evaluating the true success of any corporate web design, several key factors need to be taken into consideration. The ultimate test will naturally be what the traffic and conversion rates are for your website. However, there are multiple qualities you should look for when assessing the site itself. Perhaps the most critical evaluation to make is in regard to ease of use. Is the site easy to navigate for the customer? If your potential customers cannot find what they want from you quickly and easily, they will leave and give their money to one of your competitors. Here is a list of a few more pieces to keep in mind.
Factors for Evaluating Effective Design:
- The quality of the site’s content is perhaps equal to that of ease of use. Customers will put up with clunky design and advertising if the site’s content offers valuable information.
- Make sure the design has a focal point on each page. The clearer and understandable your layouts are, the better your content will be received by customers. You will then be able to use this to lead customers to where you want them to go.
- Give your customers all of the information they need to make a buying decision right now. If your content is vague or cannot be simply understood, the customer will have too many questions in mind. Eliminate the questions and enable them to make an immediate decision.
- Video can enhance written content. A page of text can lost people’s interest, so use video in short bursts to get your message across and make the sale. Make sure that the video content is professional, dynamic, and moves the customer toward that ever-important buying decision.
Remember, for truly effective corporate web design, you must have quality content, vibrant yet informative video and a straightforward layout so that your potential customers go in the direction in which you want them to go.
