Place Your Button Above the Fold
By putting your button near the top of your page, you prioritize it so that it won’t be missed. By placing your button front and center, you prevent your viewers from scrolling down to find it. If your web user is looking for your business’s contact info, they may not know to scroll down to find your Free Offer. Let your page do the work by placing your button above the fold.

Keep Color in Mind
You can choose either to have a button match the color palate of your page, or have it stand out by using contrasting colors. There are strategic reasons to do each. By matching your color scheme you maintain the continuity of your page. If you have other important content on your page, designing a button with a comparable color scheme will prevent you button from distracting your viewers from your other content. Bold, contrasting color will alternatively draw attention to your call-to-action making it more noticeable and easy to find. If this your goal, you may want to find a pleasing contrast to the rest of your page’s design.

Texture
If you choose to refrain from a strong color contrast, texture can draw the eye to calls to action buttons equally as well without distracting from your design. A unique texture separates the content from the rest of the website and guides your viewer’s eyes to your link. By creating either textured button against a smooth, un-textured background or a clean logo against a textured background, you can make sure your button appears as a separate and important feature on your site.
